FreeBSD upgrade 14.3 to 15.0 サーバー機

12月に15.0がリリースされたのでupgradeしました。

# uname -a
FreeBSD jsnsver.com 14.3-RELEASE -p3 FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE-p3 GENERIC amd64

現在のバージョンを確認します。

# freebsd-update fetch

qを押下します。

# freebsd-update install

Installing updates…
Restarting sshd after upgrade
Performing sanity check on sshd configuration.

Waiting for PIDS: 1430.

いくつか聞いてきますので、内容を確認してyを押下します。

# freebsd-update install

# reboot

再起動します。

# freebsd-update install

Completing this upgrade requires removing old shared object files.
Please rebuild all installed 3rd party software (e.g.. programs
installed from the ports tree) and then run
‘freebsd-update [options] install’ again to finish installing updates.

Installing updates…から、更に時間がかかります。
環境にもよりますが気長に待ちましょう。

私の環境で (core i3　第6世代　RAM:8GB　サーバー機) の古いマシンで、次の Restarting sshd after upgrade が表示されるまで２時間ほどかかりました。
ちなみに開始から完了まで、スクリーンショットを撮りながらでしたが全部で４時間ほどかかっています。

pkgを再構築します。

# pkg update
